RAM -- IRLP Node

UPDATED: 11-24-2007
This IRLP Node is being developed!
Will operate 2-meters, downtown Nome, 146.505, PL=103.5hz
Exact location and frequency being worked out
9/29/07: Various pieces of equipment have been gathered:
  • Two GE Phoenix SX transceiver, synthesized (main + spare)
  • Rated 30 watts continuous. Image above Left
  • Two Motorola Radius transceivers, synthesized (alternate)
  • Rated 45 watts. Image above Right
  • IRLP Controller Board. Image above Right
  • All software and interfacing is paid for and on hand.
Still need:
  • 2m antenna, cable, mast
  • Permanent site
  • Broadband internet connection
  • Linux computer (may have this, need to check)
  • The computer will provide the CW ID.

I have several slimline rackmount Pentium computers at hand, one of which should do the job.

If you know anything about any of this, get a hold of me and we can have some fun together.

I envision this IRLP node connecting to the "Alaskan Reflector," or a specific "Western Alaskan Reflector," linking villages together.
